Cassandra has been practicing personal injury law for 20 years and she opened Fox Injury Attorneys in the fall of 2023 so that she could provide excellent legal representation to injured Texans through unparalleled service, honesty and integrity.
Cassandra grew up in Houston, Texas, and earned her BA in Government at the University of Texas at Austin in 1998.
After graduating, she worked for Texas State Representative Rene O. Oliveira on the Ways & Means Committee during the 76th legislative session (1999-2000).
Cassandra attended St. Mary’s School of Law in San Antonio, Texas from 2000-2003. She was a staff writer for The Scholar: St. Mary’s Law Review on Race and Social Justice, and her article Truth vs. Justice: Promoting the Rule of Law in Post-Apartheid South Africa was published in 2002. She also clerked for the Honorable Alma Lopez, Chief Justice of the 4th Court of Appeals, and attended St. Mary’s Institute on World Legal Problems in Innsbruck, Austria where she was taught by former Supreme Court Justices Sandra Day O’Connor and Antonin Scalia. Cassandra received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from St. Mary’s Law School in 2003.
Cassandra first worked for Hull, Henricks & McCrae, a boutique firm in Austin, Texas, doing medical malpractice defense litigation. After two years of defense work, Cassandra came to realize that she wanted to help individuals against big and powerful insurance companies and give a voice to the voiceless.
In 2005, Cassandra began working for the Carlson Law Firm doing Plaintiff’s work in the field of personal injury litigation. Ms. Charles worked tirelessly for her clients for over a decade with the Carlson Law Firm, and successfully handled thousands of personal injury claims.
In 2016, Cassandra returned to Houston to handle some family affairs, and while there she returned to defense work at Walters, Balido & Crane, representing insurance companies in first-party residential and commercial property damage cases until the COVID pandemic began in 2020.
Cassandra returned to Austin in June 2020 and worked at DC Law until September 2023, representing thousands of personal injury clients and recovering millions of dollars for their injuries from the insurance carriers.
